Baby Kevin Bryce

Its been a long while since i last updated my blog...so many things had happened with me that i couldnt believe im still looking on the positive side of things..i guess its my baby who is giving me that strength to overcome all the trials that i went through...

I was trying so hard to do natural birth but i ended up having to do c-section because of complication. When my cervix was fully dilated already and i was pushing for like 6-7 hour, my baby still didnt come out, my midwife said he is stuck under my bone and my oxygen level was getting low, my blood pressure going up and the babys heart rate was going down, so we had to be transferred to the hospital. The doctor at the hospital gave me the option to continue natural birth but with a risk because i had severe toxemia or do c-section and have my baby out faster and safer for me too. Then my bundle of joy arrive, 8.13 lbs, 20 1/2 inch long, on January 14, 2009 at 2:31pm. 4 days later i was discharge but then the baby had to stay extra days because he had an erratic breathing problem and the pediatrician wanted to make sure he was really ok before having to discharge him, so we stayed 2 more extra days. With all the stress and craziness that occured, my milk flow didnt start right away and i was more frustrated...=( On the 6th day when we finally were able to come home, the incision cut that i have started to throb more and even the pain medication didnt help, i tried to just pass it off as normal but when the pain wouldnt go away, and my wound area was bleeding more, we called my midwife, & the hospital and they told me to come in and have it checked as soon as i can. Then we found out that i had hematoma, severe blood clot forming inside underneath my stitch that my body didnt know where to let the blood flow thats why its slowly oozing out of my body instead. then they had to open my stitched up all over again to breakdown the clot..truly a traumatizing experience for me. =/

But at the end of it all, touching and cuddling and just watching my baby is all worth it. He gives me the strength i need to heal myself faster so i could get to enjoy him more without the pained feeling of my cut. So welcome to the world my adorable baby. I promise to take really good care of you. I'll post pics the next time i get the chance to...Hugz

Waiting Game....

I am very anxious of this waiting game...i know im in 1st stage early labor already coz i had my bloody show last friday, but the contraction hasnt really kicked in much yet. Theres not much intense pain yet, i am excited to see my baby but i dont know when he plans to make his debut out into the world...i have a check up tomorrow to see how things are moving along but i know he dropped down already coz i can feel my pelvic pain from time to time.

Well, 3 days till my due date...i know it wont be long...and ill be welcoming a wonderful baby boy into this world...

Oh by the way, speaking of welcoming the baby...i changed my mind about his name...i decided to call him Kevin Bryce instead of Xander coz Kevin means "beautiful at birth" and this baby will be as beautiful as any mom who is giving birth out there would see their son or daughter as they come into this world...

Until then...=)
